Leadership Worcester creates a network of thinkers and doers who are moving the region and each other forward. Participants connect with key stakeholders, learn from influential leaders, and forge relationships that help them take the next step in their leadership.
Leadership Worcester, a joint program of the Chamber and Greater Worcester Community Foundation takes a cohort of 25 participants through a 10 month program examining critical local public policy issues such as health, education, economic development, culture, safety and sustainability that connects them to people and places, prepares them to take action and inspires them to do more. The curriculum is a mix of presenting, hands on activities and touring. When mixed together, it allows participants to see their city like never before.
Target Audience: Young Professional
Average Size: 20 - 30
The program starts with an overnight retreat in downtown and continues with a session on Thursday/month. Each session tackles a different theme. Topics include Education, Safety, Economic Development, Government, Arts & Culture, Health and Urban Sustainability.
