To create and continuously support a legacy of principled leaders for the Greater Rochester community.
To provide established and emerging leaders with knowledge and access to resources, enabling them to understand and respond to the quality of life challenges facing the Greater Rochester region.
Established in 1991, Leadership Rochester identifies 35-45 emerging and existing leaders each year and brings them together for monthly sessions with key leaders to discuss the significant issues affecting Rochester and Monroe County. Participants in this dynamic, tuition based, 9 month program represent a diverse cross section of private, non- profit, government and faith based sectors of the community.
Leadership Rochester’s unique format makes Rochester and Monroe County the classroom. Programs are strategically designed to move to unique locations to give participants a comprehensive look at our community along with influential organizations and individuals that shape our region.
Target Audience: Youth
Average Size: Less than 20
The Emerging Leaders program brings together youth from 10-15 different local high schools. This diverse group comes together to discuss and explore community issues. Youth meet community leaders and learn about the complex issues in our community. The diversity of the cohort group offers an experiential learning opportunity unlike any other.
Target Audience: Adult
Average Size: 40 - 50
Tuition: $2500 - $3500
This program is designed for mid-level professionals who are ready to take their leadership skills to the community-wide leadershp level. The diversity of Leadership Rochester\'scohort group offers an experiential learning opportunity unlike any other.
