A 9 month program educating participants about the current issues involving our community while offering opportunities to engage program graduates in the community.
Target Audience: Adult
Average Size: Less than 20
Tuition: $500 - $750
Participants delve into today’s most compelling issues. Community experts lead stimulating Issue Day sessions during the program on topics
relevant to Bismarck-Mandan and its future.
Faculty consists of local civic, education and business leaders as well as out-of-town guest speakers. The 12 Issue Days include the following topics:
• Community Characteristics
• Local Issues
• Economic Development
• Natural Resources
• Human Services
• Arts and Leisure
Most Issue Days run from 8:00am to 1:00pm so
participants can avoid missing full days of work. The orientation day encompasses a full day.
