She holds an MBA and a BA in Human Relations from Trinity Washington University. In addition to her work with Equity Through Action, C. Marie serves as a program consultant for Leadership Tomorrow, where she designs sessions focused on leadership, civic engagement, community development, and collaborative problem-solving. She previously served as the Executive Director of Leadership Montgomery (MD), where she strengthened community leadership pipelines and deepened the program’s regional impact.

“C. Marie is the right leader at the right time for ALP,” said Michelle McInnis, Chair of the ALP Board of Directors. “Her experience and her vision align beautifully with ALP’s mission to strengthen and elevate community leadership programs nationwide. We are thrilled to welcome her and look forward to all we will accomplish together under her leadership.”

C. Marie began her tenure on November 24  and looks forward to partnering closely with ALP’s board and members to advance the work of community leadership development across the country.

C. Marie calls the greater Seattle area home, where she can often be found exploring the mountains, water, and communities of the Pacific Northwest. A proud transplant from Washington, DC, she brings a deep belief in the power of place, people, and shared responsibility to shape what comes next. Known for her focus on transformation and collective impact, she is excited to begin this next chapter with ALP and its members, supporting leadership programs as they grow the capacities of communities across the country.

“I believe this is a moment to deepen our commitment to leadership and to one another,” said Taylor. “When we choose to work together across communities and differences, we do more than respond to change—we create the conditions for true transformation. I’m honored to take on this role and excited to begin this next chapter with ALP.”
