2023 National Conference a Success!
From July 24 through July 27, over 200 participants from 37 states and two countries gathered in Knoxville, TN, for the 2023 ALP National Conference.
On Monday, July 24, ALP hosted an orientation to allow attendees to connect before participating in the Welcome Reception hosted by Leadership Knoxville at Neyland Stadium. Attendees enjoyed delicious food and joyful entertainment - including a rousing rendition of Rocky Top by Leadership Knoxville's own John Cherry.
On Tuesday, July 25, David Jones with Diversity of Thought, Inc., opened the Conference with a keynote address before attendees enjoyed a day full of 15 workshops to choose from over three breakout session times. At the Membership Luncheon on Tuesday, ALP recognized several accomplishments, including:

On Wednesday, July 26, attendees participated in Affinity Group networking and had the choice of 15 additional workshops throughout the day. During lunch, participants were immersed in John Tolsma's "cereal aisle" experience, with Team One taking home bragging rights.
On Thursday, July 27, three organizations were honored with an Excellence in Innovation award for their innovative work since this award was last bestowed in 2019. Participants heard from Michael McRay on restorying their leadership journey before learning about Artificial Intelligence (AI) developments from Chris Donovan.

At the conclusion of Thursday morning, it was announced that the 2024 Association of Leadership Programs National Conference will be held in Providence, Rhode Island - in partnership with Leadership Rhode Island. Save the dates: August 5 - 8, 2024.
