ALP Seeking Workshop Proposals for National Conference

The Association of Leadership Programs is seeking proposals for 60 and 90-minute workshop sessions to be facilitated at the 2023 National Conference in Knoxville, TN. Previous workshop session topics have included but are not limited to: 

  • Alumni Engagement
  • Curriculum Development
  • Development and Fundraising
  • Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Training
  • Identity-Based Programming
  • Marketing Best Practices
  • Program Basics - Community Leadership Program Operations
  • Recruitment Strategies and Program Growth Tactics
  • Succession Planning

This is an excellent opportunity for your program’s best facilitators, partners, and staff to share their knowledge with hundreds of CLP staff and volunteers from across the nation. 

All proposals submitted for workshop sessions are evaluated based on blind peer- review and scored independently; group discussion will facilitate the final decision.  The scoring criteria include:

Relevance/Suitability
The proposal presents content that is timely, relevant, and valuable to the current needs of community leadership programs.
 
Clarity of Purpose
The proposal provides a clearly stated and educationally significant purpose to advance the effectiveness of community leadership programs and professionals.  Clearly defines learning outcomes.
 
Quality of Proposal
The proposal is well organized with clarity of intent; it clearly demonstrates the presenter has sufficient knowledge, expertise, and authority to address this topic.

Diversity of Perspective
The proposal promotes diversity of thought, experience, and perspective and promotes a unique approach or thinking.
 
Innovative Design/Engagement Strategy
The proposal demonstrates a unique structure for interaction and engages the audience using a variety of learning techniques.
