We invite you to become a member of the Association of Leadership Programs. When you become a member of ALP, you will join your peers in supporting community leadership programs and professionals throughout the nation.
Web Presence Details
As a leadership program member of ALP, your program will be included on the interactive map available to the public and will also be listed in the on-line member directory. Members can also post their best-in-practice documents to the Resource Library, announce job opportunities, and search the member database for current trends and best practices.

Leadership Connections provides you an opportunity to learn from the best in our business, all from the convenience of your office. Once a month you can connect via teleconference to other community leadership professionals across the country to discuss topics that leadership programs encounter on a regular basis. You'll hear from leaders with creative ideas on each of the topics and also share your own success stories in a peer-to-peer setting. Topics will vary each month.

Educational Conferences Details
ALP recognizes that education and connections for networking are two of the most requested needs of our members. National Conferences and the Regional Conferences offer both. As a member, you would receive discounted registration on these industry specific convenings for community leadership programs.

This monthly publication has current ALP happenings along with a member profile, job postings, announcements and information that keeps members up-to-date.
Operations Survey Details
The operational survey gathers information about key organizational factors to allow Leadership Programs to benchmark their programs with others nationally. Responses were analyzed based on:
- Program Type
- Budget Size
- Population Served
The summary is available to members and non-members. The 85 page complete survey results are available to members only for $25.
Awards Program Details
Members can receive national recognition for your local Distinguished Leader with a Distinguished Leadership Award (DLA). It is designed to recognize exceptional civic and community leadership involvement of program graduates.
Member programs also have a chance to be recognized for outstanding creativity and impactful innovation within leadership programs by applying for the Excellence in Innovation award. Examples include programming, marketing, recruiting, fundraising/development or community partnership.
